Cryopak Montreal site manager Mark Barakat said, "It's important for us to support local initiatives and to be involved in our community. We join the thousands of Quebecers who will be supporting the next generation of athletes at the Olympic stadium on July 17th."
According to double Olympic champion Alexandre Bilodeau, the Finals of the Jeux du Quebec in Montreal will bring together more than 3,700 Quebec athletes, competing in 18 different sports. "The Jeux du Quebec constitute a springboard to excellence for young athletes. These are our future Olympians, and it's up to all of us to encourage them and celebrate their perseverance and commitment to excellence", said Bilodeau, president of the Jeux.
Created in the wake of the Montreal Olympic Games in 1976, the Jeux du Quebec grants access to high-performance sports facilities and promotes a living environment where sport is prized. This event will also help celebrate the 40th anniversary of the 1976 Montreal Olympic Games.
